Someone may object that it is foolish to believe what he cannot see…. Yet life in this world would be altogether impossible if we were to believe only what we can see. How can we live without believing others? How is a man to believe that his father is So-and-so? Hence man finds it necessary to believe others in matters that he cannot know perfectly on his own.

Had major issues with the policies of Fr. Michael, who has the ultimate authority over childcare guidelines at the child development center - and someone without ANY childcare development training at all.
I was not allowed to visit my child at the center for anything. In fact, I was told by Fr. Michael that parents are permitted only to drop off/pick up either their children or personal belongings, but cannot be present in the classroom for anything else, including to eat lunch, personal visits with their children or observations unless they complete a volunteer workshop held at random, sporadic, inconvenient times throughout the year and be cleared to be in the center with our child for anything. It's just ridiculous. When I objected to this policy (which completely contradicts the parent visitation policy stated in the childcare handbook I was given upon enrollment), I was treated with hostility by an ill-tempered, loud, arrogant Fr. Michael. His policy also contradicts state guidelines which states that a parent must be granted access to his child at all times without having to secure prior approval.
I wrote a letter to several people at the Diocesan of Austin, but never heard back. I really deserved a HUGE apology for this situation and the way we were treated, but no one ever bothered to resolve this. The entire situation was completely mishandled.

I'm a college student so I usually go to St. Mary's which is close to campus, but I decided to try St. Thomas Aquinas today and it was one of my best church going experiences so far. The mass is traditional but not stuffy, the music was beautiful, the church is gorgeous, and the parishioners were openly welcoming. The woman who I sat next to thanked me for singing with her and welcomed me to the church as a new member. I will definitely be returning. Thank you St. Thomas!

Overall good Parish, but the Pastor can be a little hard to understand at times and the Homilies are very long.
